Every Day a Commercial Build Sits
Waiting on an Electrician Costs Money.

Builders and developers in Houston know this story. You're running a tight schedule. Your electrician misses a rough-in inspection. Or disappears after framing. Or can't coordinate with your GC. Now the whole project is behind.

Electricians who miss inspections One missed rough-in holds up drywall, which holds up insulation, which holds up everything else.
No-shows on change orders Plans change mid-build. Your electrician needs to adapt fast. Some don't show up at all.
Code failures that stop final inspection Work that doesn't pass final electrical inspection delays your certificate of occupancy. You can't open.
Licensing gaps on large projects Not every electrician holds the license required for commercial and new construction work in Texas.

Commercial Electrical from
Foundation to Final Inspection

We handle the full scope — not just one phase. That means fewer hand-offs, cleaner coordination, and someone accountable from start to finish.

Ground-Up New Construction

Full electrical scope for new commercial builds — service entrance, distribution panels, branch circuits, lighting, data, and final inspection coordination. We work with your GC from breaking ground through certificate of occupancy.

Tenant Improvements

Retail, office, restaurant, and industrial tenant buildouts. We coordinate with landlords, general contractors, and inspectors to get your space ready on time. Change orders are handled without drama.

Panel Upgrades & Service Upgrades

Aging commercial electrical infrastructure is a liability. We upgrade service entrances and distribution panels to handle modern load demands — safely, to code, with all required permits and inspections.

LED Lighting Retrofits

Commercial lighting accounts for a significant portion of energy costs. We retrofit warehouses, retail floors, office spaces, and exterior lighting to LED — reducing energy use and maintenance overhead.

Commercial Generator Installs

Standby power for commercial properties, medical facilities, data rooms, and critical operations. We size, install, and commission commercial generators with proper transfer switches and load testing.

Not Sure What Scope You Need?

Call us and describe the project. We'll give you a straight answer about what it involves, what it costs to bid correctly, and whether we're the right fit — before we ever ask you to sign anything.

From Bid to Final Inspection —
How We Run a Commercial Job

No surprises, no guessing. This is how Aaron-Carter Electric operates on every commercial project.

1

Scope Review & Bid

We review the plans, walk the site when needed, and deliver a clear, complete bid. What's in scope, what's excluded, what's the timeline. No vague ballparks.

2

Permits & Pre-Construction Coordination

We pull required permits, review with your GC, and get ahead of inspection scheduling. Coordination problems happen before the build, not during it.

3

Phased Execution

Rough-in, trim-out, and final — we hit each phase on schedule. If the build shifts, we adapt. Aaron is reachable throughout, not just at job kickoff.

4

Final Inspection & Closeout

We manage the final electrical inspection, resolve any punch list items immediately, and provide closeout documentation. You get your CO. Project done.

Ready to Bid Your Project?

Send us the plans or call to discuss scope. We respond promptly and deliver honest, complete bids — not lowball numbers that explode in change orders.

What Makes Aaron-Carter
the Right Commercial Partner

GCs and developers who've worked with us once tend to call us for the next job. Here's why.

Licensed for commercial and new construction work in Texas

Aaron holds the license required for this type of work. Not every electrician does. You're not finding that out at inspection.

Houston build schedules since 1998

We know how Houston inspections work, which permitting offices move fast, and how to sequence a build correctly. That institutional knowledge protects your schedule.

Aaron answers the phone

Mid-build questions don't go to a call center. You reach the owner — the same person whose name is on the license and the bid. Changes and clarifications happen fast.

Certificates of insurance on request

GCs need COIs before subs step on site. We provide them promptly. No chasing down paperwork while your schedule slips.

Invoicing and payment flexibility

We work with commercial billing cycles — invoice billing, milestone payments, and standard draw schedules. No forcing cash up front on large commercial projects.

Questions We Hear from
Builders & Property Managers

Straight answers before we ever meet on site.

Do you take on ground-up new construction or just renovation work?

Both. Aaron-Carter Electric has been doing ground-up commercial builds since 1998. We handle the full electrical scope — from service entrance through final inspection — and coordinate directly with your GC throughout every phase.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance before starting?

Yes. We provide certificates of insurance on request before work begins. We carry general liability and workers' comp. If you need a specific additional insured listed or a particular coverage format, let us know and we'll handle it promptly.

Do you handle permits, or does the GC manage that?

We pull and manage all electrical permits. That's part of our scope. We track inspection scheduling, make sure rough-in and final inspections are scheduled correctly, and handle any comments from the inspector. You shouldn't have to chase permits — that's our job.

How do you handle change orders mid-project?

Honestly and in writing. Change orders happen on commercial builds — plans change, owners add scope, inspectors require modifications. We document every change, get approval before doing additional work, and present a clear change order with cost and timeline impact. No verbal agreements that turn into disputes later.

What payment terms do you offer for commercial projects?

We work with standard commercial billing cycles — milestone draws, invoice billing, and net-30 payment terms for established commercial clients. We're not going to ask a developer to write a check before the foundation is poured. We'll structure payment to match your project phases.

Can you bid a project if plans aren't finalized yet?

We can provide a preliminary budget range based on preliminary drawings or scope description. For a hard bid, we need complete plans. If you're in early planning and want a ballpark to inform your project budget, call us — we're happy to help you get to a realistic number early.

Do you work in areas outside Houston proper?

Yes. We serve the greater Houston area including The Woodlands, Conroe, Humble, Cypress, Magnolia, Montgomery, and surrounding communities. For large commercial projects, we'll discuss the project location and scope before committing to ensure we can serve it properly.
